World Flags

Flags are used by countries for their representation all around the world and that the first flag was introduced in 1000BC. The flag trend setters are Egyptians, as they are the one who started using the flags and these flags were made of metal and wood. As today flags are used to represent a country, in old day flags were used to identify a group and they were used as a signal of danger or joy.

And even today their purpose remains the same. However the magnitude and the importance of these pieces of woven cloth have styled into specific designs that has changed greatly from their original primitive use. In today’s world it is seen that these flags have become extremely important symbols as they symbolizes the entire nations which means thousands of people can be represented and identified in a unified manner. Flags are not only used on lands but they are also widely used in sea like a sign of help, turning signals and so on. They, as mentioned above, are great signaling tools and are often used by ships to signal turns or other signs. They are even used to tell other ships or harbors if they are carrying dangerous, infectious material or diseases. Today flags are used in all spheres of business and work force. They are even used by national and local teams. They are a well known universal symbol for identification and are given great respect and honor. Countries all over the world celebrate their National Flag day with great respect and enthusiasm. Flags are also used by the army as a great honor and respect. It is also known that when an army captures a flag of their rivals it is considered to be a very heroic and noble victory. Although, it is a known factor that the origin and the most popular use of flags is to identify and distinguish the world's countries, the use of national flags and locally used flags didn't become something that was very common until 18th century.

National flags are now being used to identify and distinguish the people and regions of each country and their symbolisms. Every country has a flag and every flag has its own unique design. Every unique design has its own unique meaning and representation within that country and their beliefs. There are many flags all over the world some famous ones are the Irish flag, Pakistan flag, the flag of USA, the Saudi Arabia flag, India flag, the flag of Mexico, the Red flag and then also one that is known as the Rebel flag and so on. The British flag, the Canadian flag and the Italian flag are very famous flags. Today, it is also seen that flags are still used and displayed along with flown to signify and celebrate important events. For example, in hockey if there is an offside or the player of a team has made a foul or a goal then the empire will show him either green or red color flag. In car or men race, the race begins when a line man wave the flag. This waving of flag by a line man is the signal for the racer to start the race.

So some flags are used by countries and politicians to differentiate between one another and some flags are used as symbols or signals like in games in sea and so on.
