Cambodia Flag
The history of Cambodia flag is not very old but the history of the Cambodia country is very old. The one of the most ancient monarchies of the world is Cambodia. Before 1947, in Cambodia there was a democratic constitutional government of King Norodom Sihanouk Varman. This time was remembered as the year of proliferation of independent constitution. At that time Cambodia was not an independent country. The flag of Cambodia used in that time contains three colors white, blue and red. But at that time, there was not any symbol used on the Cambodian flag. The current Cambodian flag also contains white, blue and red color but the placement or arrangement of color in the old flag of Cambodia was different as compare to the current flag of Cambodia. The arrangement of color on the old flag Cambodia was: there were no horizontal strips on the flag Cambodia. The Cambodia flag outline or surrounding was made up of blue color which depicted the royalty of the Cambodia, the red color on the Cambodian flag depicted the nation of Cambodia and the white color on the Cambodia flags depicted the religion. At that time Brahmanism was the famous and well-known religion of the Cambodia.

Later on, on 29th October 1948, the Cambodia flag was adopted first time as the official flag of Cambodia and it remained as the national flag of Cambodia until October 1970. This flag was designed in the horizontal pattern. Later on, on 24th September 1993, when the new monarchy was established in the Cambodia, the flag of Cambodia was introduced on 30th June 1993. That flag had emblem in the middle strip of the Cambodian flag. On 1863, the Cambodian flag came into existence; it was relatively same as the current flag of Cambodia.
The description and outline of Cambodian flag is simple; the flag of Cambodia is made in the proportion of 2:3. There are three horizontal strips on the Cambodian flag blue and red in color. The top most and the lower most horizontal strip on the Cambodian flags are of blue color, while the central strip on the Cambodia flags is of red color. The blue color strips are of equal length, but the red color strip on the flag Cambodia is relatively larger in width. At the middle white color strip of Cambodia flag, symbol of Cambodian flag is drawn. The towers of Angkor vat are drawn as a symbol of Cambodian flag, and its color is white.
