Chad Flag
The history of the Chad flag has roots in the 19th century. The flag of Chad is similar to the flag of France because the Chad was under the rule of France for so many years. Chad gained independence from France on 11th august 1960. The flag of Chad was first approved by the government of Chad on 6th November 1959, while the Chad flag was approved by the coat of arms on 11th august 1970.
