Dominica Flag
The history of the Dominican flag is not very old, history roots are in the 19th century. Some variations were occurred in the design of the Dominica flag regarding the addition of certain things on the Dominican flag. The Dominica became independent from the monarchy of British government in 1978. The Dominican flag was originally approved by the coat of arms on 21st July 1961. But the adoption of Dominican flag was taken place on 3rd November 1978, at an official level. Later on, some modifications were occurred in the Dominica flag in 1988, the yellow color border was added on the star and also positions of the white and black color strips was altered. Some changes were also faced by the parrot. The direction of the parrot was flipped in opposite direction. Initially it was facing towards the flown side of the flag but later on, after modification, the parrot was facing towards the hoist side of the flag.
The description of the Dominican flag is little bit complicated because there are so many things on the Dominican flag. The Dominica flags are made in the proportion of 1:2. The background of the cool Dominican flag is of green color.
