Easter Flags
Easter is the most important Christian festivals, commemorating the resurrection of Christ. It is celebrated with Easter flags on special dates annually as it falls on the Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox. Easter week or the weekend is from Friday to Monday including Easter Sunday. Christians have been rejoicing on this day since the 2nd century, with Easter flag and no other day can compete this religious Easter Sunday. As Easter day has religious importance in the hearts of Christians, so the flags used for celebrating this day is also know as Religious Easter Flags. The Christians believe that on this very important religious day the Jesus was resurrected and his dead body was re-joined with his spirit. They also believe that his resurrection, identify reconciliation between God and man.
Though the feast was celebrated in the second century, but it was not accepted officially until 325A.D. It was a bit difficult to decide when to celebrate Easter day. A debate was held to decide, whether the Easter day should be celebrated on a weekday, similar to Jewish custom of Passover or it should be celebrated on every Sunday. At last it was decided that it should be held on the first Sunday, after the first full moon after the vernal equinox, which was changed to 12th March later on. Because of the symbolization of many other early Christian holidays and the Easter holiday, the date selection is seemed some how political or in other words a political elements is found in the date selection of Christian holidays including Easter day. The word Easter itself is believed that it comes from the Anglo Saxon Goddess of spring Name Equstre, or the rising of the sun from the east. In Muslims rising of the sun from the east is the big sign of the end of time which is known as Qiyamah. To follow tradition, many churches currently are providing early sun rise services on Easter.
