Israel Flag
The National Flag of Israel history is unique and was officially adopted on the 28th of October and the year for the adoption was 1948. The National Flag of Israel was adopted as the official Flag for the country around about a time span of five months after the country gained its independence on the 14th of May and the year for that happening was 1948. Israel was under control for a long time and got freedom from the British mandate which was of Palestine-Israel. The design for the National Flag of Israel was influenced rather designed after the Jewish prayers shawl which is known as a tallit. However it is also a well known factor that the presently used National Flag of Israel is one which has been designed to resemble a 100 year old flag which was the Zionist movement flag however that old flag has no official standing yet it is one which represents the Jews and their over whelming population during the era of the mandate.
There is an important and interesting fact regarding the flagpole. For hoisting the Israel flag, there is a custom of using a specific painted color pole. The pole is painted with the blue color for about one third of the pole in lower section, while the upper section of the pole is painted with white color.

Based upon a unique colors scheme the flag is considered to be a very beautiful one. The colors and design as described below hold very deep significance. Each color has its own meaning that shows the nature and struggle of the people of this country. The basic theme comprises of two colors. The proportions of the flag are 8:11 respectively. The National Flag of Israel is one which is based on a plain white background and that is in rectangular shape. Situated towards the top of this plain white back ground is a horizontal stripe which is of the color blue. Similarly placed towards the bottom of the flag there is present another horizontally shaped stripe which is in equal width to the top stripe and is also of the color blue. In the middle, between the two blue colored horizontal stripes, there is present a star that has six independent points or branches that star is known as the Star of David and is made on the center of the National Flag of Israel in the color blue.
The significance of the colors and the design used to make up the National Flag of Israel is also one which has its own unique meaning and symbolism. The star as mentioned above the Star of David is also known around the world more commonly as the Jewish star and is therefore used on the printable National Flag of Israel as a symbol for Judaism. This flag was 1st used as a symbol for the Jews in the year 1354 making it a very old representation emblem. There have also been several interpretations as to the meanings of the pictures of the National Flag of Israel design and coloration, one of which states that the white bordered in by the blue shows the presence of purity that is governed by the principles of Torah and they also believe that the Star of David is used to represent the new beginning that Israel had made after its independence. Children are often seen making a drawing of the Israeli flag and various images of Israeli flag.
