Jordan Flag
The National Flag of Jordan was adopted as the official national flag used to represent the country on a worldwide basis on April the 16th and the year for that occurrence was 1928. Keeping that year in mind it would be correct to say that this flag can be considered not that much old. When seen in comparison with the many other flags of other countries to represent themselves in the 17th or 16th centuries, that fact becomes evident. It is seen through history that in the year 1946 and the exact date being the 25th of May, the League of Nations gave Jordan its independence from the administration and control of the British Rule. Till the end of the year 1922 Jordan was under control until it fought for its independence and won. It is also a fact that the design of the current National Flag of Jordan was used from the year 1921 till the year 1928 and the only difference in that design and today’s National Flag of Jordan design is that, the design didn’t contain the white five point star that is seen today in the red horizontally shaped triangle on the National Flag of Jordan however the star as it appears today was added in the year 1928 and has remained the same till date. The design and the coloration of the Jordanian Flag is very unique yet a very simple one if anyone was to ask and inquire that what are the colors and what is the design of the National Flag of Jordan then the answer to that question would be a simple one and that would be: simple design and the use of only 5 colors that are distributed along the National Flag of Jordan in a very interesting manner. Jordan was Ottoman Empire part before 1916 that was the reason the flag resembles with the Turkey flag.

A star is also placed in the center of the red triangle that is of white color and has seven points. The meaning and the significance of the colors and the design of the National Flag of Jordan is also very unique.
The seven point star is used to represent the seven first verses of the Holy Quran. It is also said that the National Flag of Jordan is there to represent the Great Arab Revolt that took place in the year 1916. The black, green and white are all pan-Arab colors and are used to depict the Arab harmony, unity and peace. The white seven point star in the crimson triangle represents the unity of the Arab people in Jordan.
