Laos Flag
The Laos flag is one which was formally approved as the country’s national flag for representation on the 2nd of December and the exact year for that event taking place was 1975. Therefore, it would be justified if one was to say that the Laos National flag is not a very old one, if someone is going to compare the dates with the old century’s flag. The design and the coloration of the National Flag of Laos is one which was inspired by the flag that was used by the Lao Patriotic front and this is also commonly known more as the Pathet Lao. This place is also situated just on the outside of Laos itself this place was a group that was led by communist nationals. This was the same group that fought for the freedom of Laos and they finally gained it when they took control of the government in Laos and abolished the monarchy. In the year 1949 dated 19th July, it is again seen in history that the country gained its freedom from the clutches of France and then changed its name to the Lao people’s democratic Republic and that is also the time that they adopted the national flag that is the current National Flag of Laos. The design remained the same ever since that time. It would be an interesting factor to observe that from the very few communist style flags, National Flag of Laos flag is one of them, but there is a unique point that is the absence of star on it.
