Libya Flag

The unique Libya’s national flag history is not that much old on dates back in the ending era of the 19th century that is 70s era. The national flag of Libya was embraced by the people of Libya and also by the officials of Libya on 19th November 1977. This flag was adopted to give a symbol of identity to the Libyan nation. But after leaving federation the flag design was changed completely and also the old flag colors was omitted from the new Libya flag and totally new flag was introduced. The Libya emerged as an independent sovereign country after free from the clutches of Italy monarchy on 24th December 1951. After gaining independence the old horizontal strip flag was used in the country officially, but after leaving the federation in 1977, the flag was introduced.

It is one of the unique flag of the world, and it is the only flag of the world having only one color. So the term used for the one color flag or, it would be better to say that the flag is also referred as the “monochromatic” flag. Also the Libya country is known by the official name that is; Socialist Libyan Arab people Jamahiriya.

There is not any other flag of the world having that much unique description, without any emblem, without any strips and also without any multiple colors. It is the simplest, clean and clear flag in comparison with the other flags of the world for representing their nationality. The dimensions of the flag are as follows 1:2 respectively.
