Malta Flag

The history of the flag of Malta is not very old only has roots back in the 19th century. But the history of the Malta itself is very old dated back in the 10th century. Malta was under the rule of Britain for many years until 1964. Initially before the 10th century the Malta was in the Muslims rule. After the 1090, the count roger seized island from Muslims. The flag of Malta is spilt up into two equal portions in vertical direction. The left half of the flag of Malta is composed of white color, and fully painted from top to bottom in white color. While the right portion of the Maltese flag is of red color and it is also painted from top to bottom in red color. Both of these halves on the flag of Malta are partitioned equally. There is not any symbol on the red portion of the Malta flag. While at the white portion of the Maltese flag, an emblem is drawn. The emblem is the king George cross that is drawn at the upper left corner of the flag on a small area. For the duration of the world war 11 starting years, Malta played a very important and heroism role in the war for the Britain. So as a result of the brave actions the king of the Great Britain of those times named; king George V1, became very happy and in 1942, awarded the George cross to the Malta, which was a military reward for the valor.
