Minnesota Flag
The Minnesota flag history has roots in the 18th century. There is almost a century difference between the current flag adoption that is used currently for state official purposes and the history of the Minnesota itself. The Minnesota gained its position as a state of United States of America on 11th may 1858, and became a part of the union of United States of America. The Minnesota came very late to join the union of other states in the start of the 30th series. The Minnesota is the 32nd number state who joined the union. The original flag of Minnesota was designed after 4 or 5 years of Minnesota statehood recognition in 1893, but that flag was not approved officially for the state use. The flag of Minnesota that is used currently for official purpose was embraced in 1st August 1983 that is after almost half century. The name by which the Minnesota is also known or we can say that the nick name or the other name from which Minnesota is known publicly is state of North Star or the 10,000 lakes land.

The description of the Minnesota flag is little bit long because of the emblem on the flag. The National State Flag of Minnesota is made with the proportion of 3:5. The background of the flag is painted with dark blue color like the other state flags of United States of America. The state seal is surrounded by golden colored border that is referred to as a Fringe. The seal contain so many things like; a Native American is riding a horse in the background while a man that is running a plough on a pasture is drawn in the front. The cultivation of the state is depicted by the land and the plough. The riding Native American depicts the heritage of Minnesota. The lumber industry of the state is depicted by the tree stump on the seal. While the pine trees are the national trees of the state. The water shown on the flag inspired from the river of Mississippi and falls of St. Anthony that depicts the ecommerce haulage. The 19 stars on the flag depict that the Minnesota is the 19th number state that comes in the union after 13 original colonies of the America.
