Missouri Flag

The Missouri flag is the one whose history is based in the 19th century like many other flags of the United States of America. Missouri became the state of United States of America on 10th August 1821. Missouri came in the union of the America at the middle stages of the 20th series, as Missouri is the 24th number state that acquired the place of statehood after long time. While the Missouri flag was adopted after so many years of the Missouri statehood recognition that is after complete one century of becoming the statehood. The Missouri state flag was approved by the government of Missouri on 22nd March 1922. The National Flag of Missouri is one that comprises of three stripes that are placed horizontally along the flag and these three horizontal shaped stripes are of different colors but all these three strips is of equal length. The top stripe is of the color red in the Flag of Missouri and the bottom stripe is of the color blue. There is in between the third stripe which is of the color white. The flag is over all of rectangular shape which makes it different from many other flags used by many different countries.

The meaning of the colors and the design are also very simple and unique. It has been seen through history that the colors red, white and black are linked with the purity of the people. A huge monogram is present in the center of this flag and on the red, white and blue stripes a picture is present which is the Missouri state seal or the coat or arms. It is also seen that this image is encircled by a blue band which has a total number of twenty-four stars and those are said to be there as they are representing the number of states in which were in the year 1821. It is common knowledge that the stars in the inner circle are ones that have the same meaning. There are also the images of two huge grizzly bears that are seen as they holds the circular shield in the middle which is seen to have three parts that are written and shown the first one is the motto "United We Stand, Divided we Fall". The second one is the right section which is representing the United States and the third section which is technically the left section contains a moon which represents a new state and a grizzly bear standing for the representation of courage.
