If someone gives a first look to the New York flag then it looks like an enchanting painting on a wall. The national flag of New York is made with the proportion of 10:19. The flag is painted with a plain blue sort of like Navy blue colored background. Above that blue color background, a beautiful picture is emblazoned at the center of the flag, that picture is referred as the state coat of arms. At the both sides of the coat of arms, the two women are standing. On one side of that coat of arms is the picture of the goddess Liberty and she is in the position that holds a pole and that is a pole with a Liberty Cap on its top. Liberty is used as a symbol of freedom and sovereignty. At her feet there is a discarded crown which represents freedom from the clutches and the rule of England which was achieved at the end of the revolutionary war. On the right side of the coat of arms it is seen that there is the goddess of Justice. The picture shows that she wears a blindfold around her eyes and carries the scales of justice. The state has a motto that is written as "Excelsior" and that is written on a white ribbon. It expresses the idea of reaching upward and onwards to higher goals. A picture of sun is present on the shield which rises over the Hudson highlands and there are also the images of ships sailing on the Hudson. At the top of the flag above the shield there is an eagle and that is resting on a globe symbolizing the Western Hemisphere.
The New York flag can be used as a painting if some variations are included, with quite different esthetic scene the painting will look very beautiful and enhance the emblazoned of anyone drawing room.
