Philippines Flag
The Philippines flag was officially adopted finally on the 16 of September in the year 1997 and is therefore not considered a very old flag in the history of the flags use by many countries to represent them-selves. The flag of Philippines that is currently being used was originally adopted as the National Philippines Flag in the year when Philippines gained its independence that was in the year 1898. But at that time the Philippines flag was banned when the United States of America took control of the country Philippines. But after all of fighting, rioting and public debates and demonstrations with so much public pressure the ban on the original Philippines Flag was lifted and the flag of Philippines was again adopted in the year 1920. The country of Japan invaded the Philippines in the year 1942 and they again put a ban on the Philippines flag and that ban stayed on the flag till the year 1943. It was then in the year 1945 that the United States of America again gained its command over the Philippines from the Japanese and then they granted the Philippines their independence in the year 1946 and the exact date for that was the 4th of July. The Philippines flag was put under a few minor alterations and it was given its final design in the year 1997.

The Philippine flag was designed by the General Aguinald which was designed when he was exile in Hong Kong. The flag is very easy to describe as it is based on a very, very simple design and is made up of limited colors. If anyone wants to ask this question and say what is the color of the Philippine Flag the answer to that question would be simple and that answer would be: three only. Three colors are present there. There are two horizontal stripes on the Philippine flag and the top stripe is of blue in color and the bottom stripe is of red in color. A triangle is present on the left side of the flag which is of white in color and in that triangle each corner of it is a golden/ yellow colored star that has five points or branches. Total three stars are present and in the center of that triangle is the picture of a big sun. This is of the colors yellow and gold.
The meanings of the colors in the Philippine flag are also old and simple, the blue color stripe is said to indicate or represent the spirit of patriotism and justice of the people. The red color is said to be there to represent the valor of the people and the color is also there to represent the freedom and independence the white color in the Philippine flag is there to represent peace and purity and it is also believed that the white triangle is there to stand for equality and the Katipunan nationalists organization. The three starts are present there to represent the three main geographical regions of the Philippines that would be Luzon, Mindanao, and the Visayas. The sun is there to represent independence and the eight rays are there to represent the eight provinces that led the Philippines in their fight against the Spanish Rule. The dimensions at which the Philippine flag is made are very simple and therefore easy to tell that they are 1:2 and it would be an interesting factor to keep in mind that the national Philippine flag is also its war ensign when the country was at war it was flown upside down with the red stripe on top of the blue. There is a special way of how to display the Philippine flag, as well as pictures and coloring page of the Philippine flag available online.
