Rainbow Flags
The lesbian or gay are using gay pride colors for representing their immoral activities. In some countries these activities have got legal rights, but in majority of the countries especially in Muslims countries these activities are strictly prohibited. Any how the rainbow flags are now becoming popular slowly and steadily. These flags are now using as an alternative for the gay pink triangle symbol. The gay pink triangle symbol was first used by Nazi in Germany to point out homosexual males in concentration camps. At that time the green color was used to represent homosexuality in Victorian ear of England. The purple color was very popular for representing gay pride in 1960’s. It is evident that the pink triangle became famous in 1980’s. The history of gay pride rainbow flag is not that old, because the homosexuality was strictly discourage till 19 century. In 19 century this non-humanity and immoral activity got popularity.
Six different colors are used to make rainbow flag. These colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. These colors are known as the rainbow pride flag colors. Gilbert Baker of San Francisco designed the rainbow flag in 1978. The rainbow flag is used to represent the gay and lesbian community pride. The rainbow flag gained much more attention across America during 1989, when John Stout successfully sued his landlords in the West Hollywood. But it is fact the flag was originally used in San Francisco. It is seen that the flag is waving nearly in all bars, apartments and lampposts in gay areas of many cities, like Amsterdam and New York. Different people have different attitude about how to wave a rainbow flag and also about the arrangement of the color stripes. According to the original designer of the flag John Baker, the flag can be flown on both sides; in other words he wants to say that either red or purple can be the top color while waving the rainbow flag. Some data is collected in San Francisco, about the attitude of the people, nearly 80 percent people flow the flag while the red color is on the top.

There are more than one version of flag with respect to vertical variation and placing the pink triangle symbol on the flag. A Black triangle is used for representing lesbianism and a black triangle of pink is also very popular symbol. Some people are using other flags instead of rainbow flags for representing their sexual orientation or sexual trends. Some people like bisexuality, though it is also strictly prohibited in Muslims countries, but now the trend is getting popularity in Muslims countries as well. The flags representing different orientation of sexuality are flags for bisexuals, people who enjoy bondage, domination and Sadomasochism among other things. Some flags are used in the Gay Games throughout the world. A new trend is currently introduced, in gay or lesbian world, by using rainbow flag sticker. A rainbow flag sticker is used for individual identification, which has homosexuality behavior. Some gay are using rainbow flag photo in their car offices and other places where they are spending time. Some world class politicians are against the homosexuality as President Bush of America. He used religious campaign against homosexuality during the previous election. His success show that majority of American people are also against the homosexuality. Still there are some countries, where it is consider as normal part of the life.
