Singapore Flag

The history of Singapore flag and also the Singapore itself is not that much old, only goes back in the middle of the 19th century. Singapore adopted its national flag on the 3rd of December 1959, for the purpose representing the Singapore country on a world wide basis. Justice is represented by the fourth star and the fifth star represents Equality.

The presence of the white crescent moon on the red top half of the flag is there to represent the youth of the nation which is always on the rise towards making the country great and prosperous. The original design of the flag of Singapore consist of only three stars on it and that was changed as the Leaders of the country were afraid that, that design may lead to Singapore being considered as a part and parcel of the Malayan Communists Party.
