Somalia Flag
The National Flag of Somalia is a young flag as it was embraced by the people of Somalia and its officials on the 12th of October in the year 1954. It was designed and colored in that year and remained unchanged ever since. The decision to keep the flags design and colors the same was taken by the trustee of Italy. In 1960, however, it is observed through history that Somalia fought, worked hard and gained independence and it was then this country united with the formerly known country that was the British Somaliland. It is currently known as Somalia but in old days it was one which consisted of the former Italian Somaliland and British Somaliland nations.
The description of History of Somalia’s flag is so simple that it would be so easy to explain. The proportions that have been used to divide this particular flag in to its dimensions are one that follows the following ratios and those are 2:3 respectively. The colors red and yellow are the main colors used in this flag and that is the length of its description. The base of the Flag or Somalia is of the color which is a very light blue sort of like sky blue color and placed in the middle part of the blue colored base. The flag of Somalia is the one which has simple design and coloration and that coloration as well hold very unique and simple meaning. The blue color which is used in the base of the flag of Somalia is used there to represent the UN, the blue base originates from the flag of the United Nations and it represents the blue sky over Somalia and the UN, who helped the country realize its dream of independence.

These five points are also there to represent a very unique thing and that is the unity of five specific areas of Somalia. The five points are as follows the first point on the star present on National Flag of Somalia is there to represent the British Somaliland; the second point of the star is there to depict the Italian Somaliland. The third point of the star present on National Flag of Somalia is there to represent the French Somaliland, and the fourth point of the star is there to symbolize the Northern part of Kenya. The fifth and final star point present in National Flag of Somalia is there to represent the Ogden region and these are all represented due to the efforts and hard work and to acknowledge the contribution of these people in making the country of Vietnam a free and independent country.
