Texas Flag

The Texas Flag history begins On 10 Dec, 1836; President Sam Houston approved the first national flag of the Republic of Texas and Known as the "National Standard of Texas" demonstrated on an azure ground, a large golden five pointed star in centered. Until 25 Jan, 1839 Texas Flag fluttered over the Republic of Texas. On December 28, 1838 Senator William H. Wharton proposed a bill, "Lone Star Flag" , official republic of Texas Flag that would become the second official flag. The bill was, of course, referred to commission which proposed a replacement bill counting the same flag design. On 21 Jan, 1839 Texas Congress approved the bill and then on 25 Jan, 1839 approved by Texas President Mirabeau B. Lamar. Texas state Flag designs are credited to many counting Charles Bellinger Stewart, Joanna Troutman, William Wharton, Peter Krag and Sara Dodson, but the design of the lone star flag was designed by peter Krag and was approved official by the president Lamar. Flag of Texas comprises of a blue vertical stripe that is one-third of the full length of the flag width wise. At the center of the flag a five pointed white color star is drawn. There are two horizontal strips are drawn that is of two third of the full length of flag. The upper horizontal strip is of white color while the lower horizontal strip is of red color. In 1845 Texas was disclose to the Union, came along the Lone Star Flag. So until 1879 the Revised Civil Statues it was approved by the Sixteenth Legislature. These revised statutes offered that all civil statutes of a broad nature, in power when the modified Statutes take upshot, which are not integrated, or which are not hereby specifically sustained in force, are hereby repealed." Since the altered statutes built-in no legislation relating to the flag and did not "explicitly" continue in force. In 1839 the Texas Flag law was repealed to September 1, 1879 until the 1933 Texas hadn’t any official flag. The legislation adopted in 1933, was quite particular about the design and location of the lone star and the colors of the Texas state Flags blood red, azure blue and white.

In1993, the orders regarding the flag were called again and the official report of the state flag was revised. The Texas Flag comprises of a rectangle with a width to length ratio of two to three, having: a blue colored perpendicular band that is covering the one-third of the entire length of the flag, and two equivalent horizontal bands. The upper band is of white color and the lower strip is of red color, both two-thirds the complete length of the flag long. A white normal five-pointed star is in the middle of the blue band, leaning so that one point faces up and is of such a size that the diameter of a circle passing through the five points of the star is equal to three-fourths the width of the blue band.
