Uganda Flag
The Flag of Uganda was officially adopted finally on the 9th of October and the year was 1962. It is therefore considered relatively older flag, especially when compared with many other flags used by different countries to represent themselves world wide. Today the design and color of the Flag of Uganda is the result of election. This election took place and with the help of election result the new designed flag with new colors was adopted as the National Flag of Uganda. As there was a different flag that was adopted by the ruling part in the country therefore, it was unofficially flown as the national flag. But then as mentioned above an election was held and the congress party was succeeded in that election and therefore, the flag of their choice, design and color was chosen and is now used as the national Flag of Uganda.
The description and the coloration of the national Flag of Uganda are very unique but simple and easy to explain or describe. If any one wants to ask or inquire as to what the design and the colors of the national Flag of Uganda are the answer would be a simple one and that would be: it has a simple design and is one which comprises of the following three colors: Red color, yellow color and black color. The colors are distributed along the Flag of Uganda in the form of different colored stripes. The top stripe is of the color red. The second stripe is of the color yellow, the 3 rd stripe is of the color red. After that same combination and sequence of colors is used in the 4th, 5th and 6th stripe on the flag of Uganda. In the center of the stripes on the Ugandan Flag, sort of joining the third and the fourth stripe, is a white colored circle. The center of the white based circle holds the picture of a bird called a Crane on it.

The black color is used in the flag of Uganda to symbolize the African people. The yellow color in the flag of Uganda is used to symbolize the sun and the unity of the people. The red color in the flag of Uganda is used to symbolize the brother hood of the people and the fraternity as well. The carne shown in the flag of Uganda is there to represent the national symbol of Uganda. And that was the symbol used in the times of Colonial British. The colors yellow, black and red have also been seen to be the colors of the Uganda Peoples Congress Party who won the elections came into power in1962. The design of the flag of Uganda was given by the minister of justice at the time the name of that person was Mr. Grace Ibingira, His design was the second one but was accepted as the official design. The proportions of the flag used to divide the flags dimensions are of the following proportions 2:3 and that is how the flag is divided. The flag is not allowed to be displayed if it is in a torn or tattered state and is to be burnt in a quiet ceremony by the people as per the law of the country.
