US Military Flags
The several branches of US Military are represented by different Flags and within each branch various flags fly at different occasions. The US Military is divided into different branches. These braches are US Army, US Air, US Marine, and US Navy. According to US Military Flag Regulation, when the flags of all these branches will be fly on same time and place, these flags should in this order US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard. When Coast Guard is working as part of US Navy, then the Coast Guard Flag precedes the Air Force Flag.
The history and description of the Flags US Military are given with respect to all branches in the US Military. Officially the US Army Flag was adopted by the order of President Dwight D. Eisenhower through Executive Order No. 10670, on 12th June, 1956. At capital Washington DC, in a ceremony, in June 1956, the action of continental congress and then after two year the continental congress officially adopted, the stars and stripes. Before this newly adopted Flag, the US army was divided into various groups and each group was using a separate Flag, so there were more than US army Flags at that time. To bring the whole army under one Flag, this newly flag was adopted which has the capability to represent the whole army on an appropriate occasion. A very little information is available about the Marine Flag. It is thought that the Grand Union Flag was carried by battalion under the command of Captain Samuel Nicholas in 3rd March, 1776. During 1830s and 1840s the Marine Flag was comprised of a white field with gold fringe, and an eagle was placed in the center.
The finalized version of US Marine’s Flag is suggested in Order No. 157, dated 3rd November 1939, and is currently in practice.

The very first Navy flag was similar to US National Flag. The nonofficial flag was adopted, which was lasted for about 60 years, and was replaced by the currently adopted flag in 1959. A very little information is available about the history of US Air Force flag. US Air Force was separated as an independent branch of US Military in 1947. Also very little informaiton is avaible about the history of US Coast Guard’s flag.The US army Flag is made of white silk, which is decorated by a replica of the official seal of War Office.
Beneath the seal is scarlet scroll, on which the string “United States Army” is written. This is written in 1775, which represents the year when US army came into being. The base of US Marine Corps is red. The Corps symbol is placed in the center, which is made of gray and golden colors. Beneath the Corps symbol the String “United States Marine Corps” is written. There are two versions of the flag, for indoor and out door parades.
Till now there is no such single flag which is known as Flag US Military. The combination of the all military branches may result to a single flag called US Military Flag. The pictures of all the US Military Flags, that is a combination of US Army, US Air, US Marine, and US Navy, are easily available on internet.
